Creative Outlooks is an architectural drafting service that provides you a complete set of construction drawings for use by a builder to construct your project and to apply for county permits as required. Creative Outlooks has been in business for 10 years serving homeowners and builders in Maryland.

Creative Outlooks specializes in designing spec plans for builders to construct customized homes ranging from 1,500 Sq’ to 12,000 Sq’; additions; in-law suites; assisting living facilities; adult and child day care centers; and office buildings and condos. Creative Outlooks has more than 20 years experience developing custom designs; each project design is created to meet the client’s needs.

Creative Outlooks will sit down and go over room by room to get the feel of the home you are envisioning. Each room will be broken down to get the details put on the plans. Each house has its own creative ideas that fit the owner’s needs and I will provide you with other options for you to consider. Once the floor plans and elevations are complete, the next task is to get the detail on the plans so the builder, sub-contractor, and manufacturer can build your home as we design.

Give your clients the planning that gets them excited about their new project. Whether it’s an addition or a new custom home, the planning process can be exciting and fun, but it can get the homeowner involved in the project.

Extras or changing in the field delays the project but could also be very expensive. During the concept drawing phase, I provide your client with options for them to view on paper. It could be a house with a straight gable or a hip roof or maybe a couple of dormers or a reverse gable. With the CAD program, we can create a couple of options to get that custom and personal feeling that gets the homeowner ready to get the project started. With the builder input during the concepts phase we can stay on budget as well as build a relationship between you and your client.

Each set of plans will have your typical specification and company logo name and numbers. They will also be very detailed from the footer to the roof. The framing layout calls out all headers, beams, and joists. Building sections are shown to clarify any framing detail that is ordinary.

The drawing can be printed out in color to emphasize the addition or to help the client see the addition or home better on paper.
